Willie Harris is possibly the greatest player of all time. His .239 career batting average and 37 career dingers speak for themselves. He is obviously a first ballot HOFer when he retires. Now that the Mets have signed him are they not the team to beat? Who better than Willie?

I’d be wrong if I said that Willie doesn’t put them over the top. His superb pinch-hitting and better benchwarming should bump the Mets out of last place and towards the top. We knew that the Mets would need to make a move to counter the Phillies’ signing of Roy Halladay, and this is definitely it. He should increase that career total to at least 39 HRs this year, and he will undoubtedly put the Mets over the top!
