Can I keep mixed cake mix in the fridge?

Is it ok/edible to keep cake mix that’s mixed with eggs, water, and oil in the fridge? For like a day or two?

I say no. I made one once… and it was edible, but because the baking powder became activated getting ‘wet’, the clock started ‘ticking’, and it turned into the sorriest looking cake ever made. I even took a picture of it, it was so funny looking.
Don’t waste the mix, it CAN be eaten, but I wouldn’t serve it to guests.
