How long should I wait until I can scrub my tattoo?

Today is day 5 of my new and first tattoo. It’s still a bit hardened and hasn’t completely flaked or peeled to reveal a soft-skinned tattoo yet.

I wanted to know how long should I wait for the tattoo to heal and to be able to scrub it again in the shower like the rest of my body?

Will it ever be hard again? It’s on my wrist and it’s small, just 3 initials in cursive capital letters.

you should be able to give a quick wash over in the shower at this stage using the palm of your hand and some mild body wash. dont scub it yet, if by scrub you mean like exfoliate using a loofah or gloves or whatever…id wait a good 6 weeks!!! i waited about 2 months before scrubbing my thigh tatt…better safe than sorry…you dont wanna screw it up!!!
