How do i get rid of my dark panda looking eyes?
I am so fed up with having dark patches under my eyes – Panda eyes i think they call them. I’ve been told that it’s mainly down to having Brown eyes… is this true? Is there anything i can do to get rid of the problem? i draw the line at MAKEUP to hide them, i just want to get rid of them in any other way.
The best ways to get rid of them are the following:
1. Drink at least 1 litre of water per day for a good 4 weeks, before you start seeing results
2. Get a good night’s sleep and over time you’ll see the area lighten
As others suggested, water, water, water! Most of the time it is down to that, and has nothing to do with having brown eyes. I have brown eyes and I don’t have dark circles. I did used to have them until a friend told me to drink more water.
In addition, your 8 glasses a day isn’t enough if you are someone who drinks coffee and alcohol (like me!). For every cup of coffee/tea/alcohol you drink, you need to have a glass of water – on top of the regular 8 glasses per day.
When I started sleeping better, that helped too. Get a regular 8 hours of sleep per night, and well-rested sleep. I know this worked for me too, because as soon as I had a baby and sleep went out the window, I could see the dark circles coming back. Now that my baby is going longer at night, they are once again fading – ever so slowly, but they are fading.
Another trick, for beauty-treatment’s sake, is to put 2 tea bags in cold water, soak in a nice hot bath and put the tea bags on your eyes. Just ‘sleep’/relax for 15 mins with them on your eyes. Heck, do it every night if you can! And why not? A little 15-20min daily pampering goes a long way…
Of course the advice above, as it is natural, will take weeks before you notice a difference. In the meantime, you can always use coverup/make up, until you start noticing the difference.
Unfortunately, if this is caused by genetics, there really isn’t much you can do about it… some people just have darker pigment around their eyes, some on their underarms, etc…. it’s just the way the skin is.
