Tell Me – What are cold sores?

What are cold sores? A common question that the epidemic of sore develops. There is much confusion and error information on cold sores around the Internet. Let us take a look at the facts.

Cold sores, also called fever blisters and oral herpes, are painful, unsightly blisters that occur normally on the edge of the lips. They may also appear in other places, such as nostrils, neck, cheek – and even on the fingertips.

Cold sores may also appear on the roof of the mouth or gums. This is very rare. But this fact, cold sores are often confused with canker sores.
