SPRINGTIME…………?
What’s your favorite thing about Spring?
I like the beginning of Spring when the vestiges of cold are still still here…..the birds are not yet making their noises, the thaws are dripping like droplets into the sea of the earth and the twigs are still laying beneath their trees. The deciduous trees have been fed by their own leaves and are not yet in bloom but the promise is there. The air is so still that every sound of creaking and shifting is amplified…..that the roar of winter has finally turned to a whimper. The dusks are haloed by longer days and our thoughts of being cold and hunkering down have passed but we don’t quite have the message……I suppose you could say that I love this part of Spring as though it were a thoroughfare into another time and dimension. In a way it is.
