Historic
Has Days of our lives gotten rid of any historic sets due to budget cuts?

For instance the set for the Horton house, it has been around since the first episode in 1965, but I haven’t seen it in a while. I’ve also noticed that they never show Maggie’s whole house anymore, just her kitchen. It’s a shame that they have to get rid of historic sets.

The same goes for General Hospital as far as the old sets, whereas they often reuse old sets. For instance, Diane Miller’s apartment was the same set as Kate Howard’s hotel room, and the Sonny’s old coffee shop set is now Johnny Zacchara’s garage. So they’re still around, just possibly reused. And those can often be “folded up,” if you will, and brought down as needed. Never fear. The sets are still there. They just don’t have a story, like many of today’s good soap opera actors.
