What is the best foundation for someone with oily skin?
I’ve been using a compact powder lately. If I use a moisturizer and then use the foundation, it changes the color of the powder and doesn’t match my skin. If I don’t use a moisturizer, you can clearly see the powder on my skin.
Is there a liquid foundation that’s not too cakey and would work well for someone with oily skin? Perhaps a two-in-one moisturizer/foundation?
Side comment: Whats the best way to match the color of your skin to the foundation?
Well, first of all you probably do not want to use a mosturizer daily (unless your skin gets dry) because this can contribute to oilyness. You have over active sebacious glands which produce more oil as temperature rises and adding extra oil (which is found in several of the mosturizers your using) will only add to your problem. If you want a good foundation, try to go with a clinique product and use a brush to apply. They have really good foundations that are oil free. If you use just a little as a base and then add a brush of loose powder (also without oil) you should see a drastic change. Also, make sure you are cleaning your face every night with an oil free was like neutrogena or clean and clear. You can also try using astringent after your face has been cleaned at night. Going to the Clinique counter and having them match your skin tone to the foundation will be your best best. If you dont have the money, make sure youre reading the ingredients in the foundation. Anything with oil, don’t buy. This will only add to the existing oilyness. Good luck!
