Better Photo Tips – Lines in Your Photos
Place a pencil point on the paper and lift. What you? You have a point, a circle or a point of departure. Now, place pencil down and move an inch in any direction. What you've created? You have created a line. You've passed the point of departure, and created the cornerstone of any video in the world. Think about it; squares, triangles, stars, rectangles example starting with the creation of a line.
A photo tip worth remembering is: the lines can be positive or negative. If you have a photo showing a road diagonally from lower left to upper right corner, and then he melts into a beautiful sunset. . . Is a positive line. On the other hand, if you pull the sun even the road extends horizontally from left to right, which would a negative line. Why? Because it goes side to side and interaction with key NOT subject, therefore, It distracted. It can be briefly, but most viewers will go back and forth between the sun and the road, and wonder where will the road.
Many young couples like to hold hands while taking a picture. That's good, but if they join hands and their hands are down at their sides, it Recalls literately far the couple and makes people look at their feet. On the other hand, if you have them holding hands and they bend at the elbow when their hands are near their face. . . points in the line of sight is the torque. The second photo tip is: lines can enhance or distract your subject.
One reason most portrait photographers avoid the hands, because it is so easy to randomly shoot them unflattering. Imagine a young couple where the man a friendly love puts his arm around the waist of young ladies. If the fingers appear in the game what it is? They end generally pointing the size or the stomach. Most women do not really want you looking at the abdomen or hips. This is not the fault of viewers, but if you have five little lines pointing toward the belly, it is very difficult not to look in that direction.
As we have demonstrated in two lines meet, they form a point. When two lines actually Cross it something different that is also difficult to control. Ever heard the phrase X marks the spot?? If a tree branch through a fence or gate across a road, its' almost like a sigh listing which says: "Hey!" If the subject is in the upper right corner and you have a visual impairment X in the lower left corner, your mind will back and forth. It will be extremely difficult to concentrate on the subject. Photo tip number three: avoid the visual X at all costs, unless your object is in direct the middle of the X.
Photo tip number four: lines convey thoughts and feelings. Horizontal lines represent rest or relaxation. Lines Vertical often give a mental image of the force. Diagonal lines tend to give an impression of movement. Curved lines are loose and flexible (usually considered sexier.) oblique lines suggest power and conflict. If you try to create a quiet, peaceful panoramic photography and you have several sharp broken lines in the picture, the picture is already in conflict with itself.
To summarize these important tips photo to remember about the lines:
A) The lines can be positive or negative.
B) lines can enhance or distract your subject.
C) avoid the X. Visual
D) lines convey thoughts and feelings.
Since all forms are formed by lines, it goes without saying that all subjects are affected by rows. It does not matter if you take pictures of people, trees, or cars of all subjects have their own natural lines. Know lines about you, around your subject, and those caused by your subject. The lines can be your best friend or your worst nightmare. Follow these tips to your photo advantage and take your photos to the next step.
