How long does it take to drive thru El Yunque?
Going to San Juan for two days (pre-cruise) and planning on other things to do, I need to know how much time to allot for driving thru the rain forest, I don’t want to rush it
You don’t really drive through El Yunque. You can drive up the mountain, but that’s about it. Most people (if not all) will park their car either near the tourism center and catch a trolley or park on the mountain and then go hiking. Aside from the waterfalls at the very beginning, you can’t see anything from the road.
The hiking wasn’t all that strenuous, aside from the heat (we went in late July).
