There are lots of great ideas for Halloween birthdays, but what if your birthday is in October but not on Halloween? October can be about more than just Halloween. Take advantage of rich fall colors and the joys of the chilly season to make your October birthday special.

What season would it be on October to December in Washington DC?

Im planning to travel to Washington DC on October to December and since its my first time. I would like to know what season, so I know what to pack. Thankyou for your honesty.

It’s Autumn here. October will be beautiful – temps in the 60s (farenheit) some rain but not much. Actually October is one of the most beautiful times of the year in this area. There will be days when you can still wear shorts, and not terribly much rain, plus the trees change colors the end of the month and are beautiful.

November will be chillier but still not terrible – you can do a lot outdoors. A little more rain. Great time of year to check out the wineries in the Virginia countryside.

December begins edging into winter, and it will begin to get cold, but there is a relatively low chance of snow – we’re not truly in winter until January.

Your trip is during a time when the weather changes constantly. You’ll experience temps from the 70s to the 30s – your best bet for packing is lots of layers!

The good news is that this is the best time in my opinion to be in town. There are not zillions of tourists at all the attractions, you will find even the Air and Space Museum to be enjoyable (it’s the most visited museum in the world.) Even if you are not here for the sights, take some time to see them.
