Alice in Wonderland (Masterpiece Edition) $10.87 Walt Disney seems to have had a special affection for Lewis Carroll’s “Alice” stories. “Alice’s Wonderland” (1923), a short about a live-action little girl in a cartoon world, led to his first successful series, the “Alice” comedies (collected on Walt Disney Treasures: Disney Rarities–Celebrated Shorts, 1920s -1960s). During the early ’30s, he talked about making an animation/live-action feature … |

The Mysterious Alice in Wonderland syndrome
Imagine – it's a beautiful clear night and you're tired. You intend to go sleep early. Before going to bed, you walk outside to take out the trash. While walking around inside a car passes in the street nearby. But unlike a car you've never seen before, it is abnormally low. In fact, you feel like you're a giant proportions of the car. As you walk to the door of your house and to reach the button, you see your hands outstretch for what seems like miles (and handle the door seems to be far too). And while you walk around your house that you see that your couch is huge. What happens?
These all symptoms of something called "Alice In Wonderland Syndrome (AIWS)." It is something I have not heard much about before. But after reading the experience of a person, I decided to do some research. Believe it or not, many people can live this experience. It seems that there is a description of the effects of substance abuse or perhaps an illness or a disease. But some people who say they suffered from this have been to doctors, had MRI and could ultimately do not find what was wrong with them.
Imagine experiencing these symptoms on occasion. This would be a very big disadvantage. Without forgetting the stress of not knowing why you are experiencing. However, others who have experienced AIWS said earlier would not leave. The causes of that seem strange and perhaps never seen the experience elusive. It can be difficult to identify the trigger for something that others have not. Without the ability to compare cases and accounts, we have to guess the potential causes.
The Internet, of course, helped to change this situation. An account has been published after the other. The search began and patients AIWS knew they were not alone. With all the work done by those who were interested or who have suffered the AIWS, potential causes and potential have been found. There are many and include some classic migraines Epstein-Barr virus and temporal lobe epilepsy. Not only the potential causes found, but it is also said that children aged 5-10 most often suffer AIWS, usually at night when the lighting is rare.
AIWS is also known as Micropsia. Microps, in short, is a condition that affects the visual perception of objects-look smaller than they really are. Therefore, it is logical that the suffering of someone this condition, the objects may seem far away, and "that extends far, far away as real objects tend to look small. A condition with opposite effects is known as Micropsia macropsia. Those who suffer from macropsia see things bigger than they really are. AIWS is often used to refer to the conditions.
Treatments for AIWS vary. This is because there are several possible causes. In fact, I was unable to find a cure for a precise help in all cases. It seems that the route most people would have to check either cure or potential causes. Migraines are said to be a potential cause, though some people try AIWS treat migraines. The same thing could apply to other potential causes
AIWS has some strange effects. The idea that it can reach anyone scared. Most often, it seems, they occur in children. Obviously, the name of "Alice in Wonderland syndrome" stems Lewis Carroll "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". But it is interesting to note that Carroll has at least one episode of a classic migraine his lifetime. Thus, it is a question and belief he may have experienced AIWS itself. Much progress has been made since the time the first few reports published. More and more research is done, I hope we will know more about AIWS.
What the Goths see in Alice in Wonderland anyway?
I feel stupid asking this bc I am a goth myself, I felt that I am wrong in what I do not understand the Goths have more fasina with Alice in Wonderland. It may be that British Columbia, I never learned to read the book myself, only thing I saw this film lolipop Disney did, but I do not really know. Can someone explain?
Basically young Goths are attracted by the new film because his Tim Burton, his films are generally liked by the Goths (Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride was goth themes and influence). The new film has a dark turn in the original tale, so that the product of the mass media that Goths can enjoy (this which is rare). Thats why they love it. (Also some might love it like 'goth') The book is not Goth at all, I have read is just completely absurd, which is not really goth
