Ice skating?

im going ice skating for my 1st time torrmow, and idk if i will get hurt .. i have broken my leg and had surgery on it, and i dont want to be in danger of hurting it again, do you get hurt from ice skating?
im prety sure people can get hurt .. but idk

chances are that since its your first time there isnt much to worry about. normally when people get hurt skating, they are trying to do jumps or are just being dumb messing around on the ice. since you have never skated before you will probably spend most of the time holding on to the boards or friends for balance and if you do fall it will be from a stand still or slow speed. best way to fall is to try to slide out to the side hands first..its the safest way so you wont hurt yourself. dont lean too far back or forward on your blades, bending knees and arms out will also help for balance.

just have fun and try not to worry too much!! chances are that your leg is healed as best as its going to at this point and a little fall isnt going to ‘re-brake’ it. and chances of breaking something else your first day are very slim so good luck!! the only thing i would say is wrist guards? you will fall..its a fact…and you will try to use your hands to help impact but the ice is slippery…so if your worried i suggest wrist guards!!..also no one will even no you have them on if you wear gloves too!!
