How do I get the smell of cat wee out of my bedding?

My persian boy has made a wee on my duvet and the smell is terrible. I hand washed it just after, but it didn’t help. And, I also have a big big blanket with another of his accidents?

Try this.

1.Blot as much of the urine as possible with a clean towel or absorbent paper towels. Press down firmly (do not rub) until the wetness is removed.

2.Rinse the affected area thoroughly with a full glass of water or club soda.

3.Remove as much of the rinsing liquid as possible by blotting from the outside in so you do not spread the scent or stain.

4.Mix together 1 qt. of warm water with ½-cup white vinegar and pour it onto the area with cat urine.

5.Press a clean towel or paper towels onto the area and remove all liquid. Use a wet/dry vacuum or with a hairdryer on cool setting if necessary.

6.Spray a pet odor neutralizer onto the area to prevent the odor from resurfacing.
