what is a good toy for a destructive chewer?
my golden retriever Riley and my moms mix dog Teddy destroy just about every toy I have brought home. is there any brand that is tougher that you would recommend?
I have tried:
the toys made from fire hose – lasted less than a day
herts toys from wallmart – about 1day to 1week depending on the toy
imitation knongs- still alive but is missing peaces
what has worked
rope toys
a soft plush bone she has had scenes she was a puppy- similar ones are destroyed
air kong squiers
some that I want to try
kong wubba (the huge one)

my lab mix nessie has eaten almost every toy i have ever given her, EVEN KONG!
try www.goughnuts.com, they will replace the toy once it has been destroyed. Nessie has had her’s since July and it is still in great shape.
also look online for a Hurley, she loves that one too, and it’s held up pretty well, it was better priced than the goughnut too. she’s had it since August and i probably need to replace it soon, if i can get it away from her.
she had a kong wubba, and it lasted about 20 mins. no joke.
