Wedding Color Palette Ideas
Colors can affect how people and things are perceived. Though sometimes, choosing a color is just a matter of preference for us, others would say that our choice of colors reflects our personalities. Simply stated, colors affect the impression of people on us.
On your wedding, it is important to choose the right color combination for you. Personal preferences play a very big role, though. But you need to know that you cannot just combine all our favorite colors to serve as your main wedding theme color. Here are some wedding color palette ideas to help you decide what colors to choose on your big day.
First, you have to consider the place where the reception and the ceremony would be held. Take note of the details of the place like the draperies, carpet, and the decorations. Your wedding color palette should blend perfectly well with the background.
Next, consider what type of mood would you like to create? If you want it romantic, choose lighter shades. If you want it warm and passionate, choose brighter shades like red or orange.
It is also suggested that you choose a color that is well suited to the season your wedding day falls on. If you will get married on an autumn or a summer, darker colors are perfectly right. If you will have it on a winter or summer, lighter shades are preferable.
A color wheel is also helpful. If you are less experimental and wouldn’t want to go wrong with your choice of colors, try combining colors on the color wheel. There are three ways by which we can colors in a color wheel. You can choose colors which are opposite each other on the color wheel. These are called complementary colors. Blue and orange are complementary colors. Colors which lie next to each other on the color wheel are analogous colors. This color combination can create a gentle effect. Using the color wheel, you can also vary the shades of a color. Say for example, blue, dark blue and light blue.
You can utilize the internet in searching for a color palette generator tool which can be useful in choosing shades that wouldn’t clash with each other.

Safest way to Big Bear in winter?
I’m planning a wedding in Big Bear, Ca for January, I’m nervous about my family driving up the usual way in winter which is up 247 to 18. Is there any way that might be a bit safer? I have no way of knowing what weather will be like on that day becuase it’s in 2011. Thanks!
Sorry to say, there is probably not any better route. The suggestion I make is that you watch the weather reports for a week or so ahead of time, and have them come early if it looks like a storm is coming in. Good luck and congrats!
