Why does my cat put her bear in the water?
We gave my cat a stuffed animal bear (like a beanbag, it’s small) when she was a kitten. Sometimes when she can’t find us, she’ll carry it around in her mouth and cry looking for us. But in the past couple months she has started putting it face down in her water bowl whenever we leave the house. Every time she does this we have to dry it or it might mildew, and she does it so much now that we can’t even let her have it! Anyone have any idea why she is putting this toy in her water?
None of my cats have ever done this behavior. I want to know too. My guess is she’s putting it somewhere safe so nothing bad happens while you are away.
