This Christmas, gift someone special with the recent top-rated DVDs, such as:
Hancock; Wall-E, Fred Claus, Kung Fu Panda, Tropic Thunder as well as, the latest release of Douglas Fairbanks: A Modern Musketeer – FLICKER ALLEY is an exhaustive (and exhausting!) collection of Douglas Fairbanks’ earliest film adventures. Flicker Alley’s latest compendium of silent greats offers the earliest films of the ever-athletic Douglas Fairbanks, one of Hollywood’s first action stars. There are 11 films in all, including such notables as the western comedy Wild and Wooly (1917), the fully restored A Modern Musketeer (1917) and the swashbuckler that made him an international superstar, The Mark of Zorro (1920). Though probably not acquainted with Fairbanks’ work, today’s younger audiences might be familiar with his name and could be sold on the idea that he was the Indiana Jones of yesteryear!

The Woody Woodpecker and Friends Classic Cartoon Collection $14.22 Walter Lantz produced cartoons for Universal for more than 40 years, from 1929 until 1972, but his studio’s output remained the animated equivalent of “B” pictures. His cartoons broke no new ground in animation, story telling, or humor. This generous set includes the first 45 Woody Woodpecker cartoons, 10 “Cartune Classics,” five “Swing Symphonies,” and five shorts with Andy Panda, Chilly Willy, a… |

Mixing Modern and Vintage?
Im redoing my room to fit my personality more.
To describe it by the things I like:
Pandas, Betty paige, Rocky Horror, Repo, Skinny Puppy, Tim Curry, Hearts, The 30/40/50′s, animal print, fuzzy stuff…like puppies…
So you basically get it?
Id like to mix stuff like this chair and this couch (A bed isnt nessecary, Im notorious for sleeping in odd places like couches, closets, tables, etc)
And Im doing a vintage montage wall….
The couch and chair are examples, not nessecary/
My room will be candy apple red. with white carpet.

What kind of furniture and stuff should i do???????
I love that eclectic look. If you want to combine that couch & that chair (which I love the idea of) The key is throw pillows. On the black couch, I would get a throw pillow that is the same shade of pink as the chair, and fuzzy (because you like fuzzy stuff) For the pink chair, pick a pillow from here…
http://homedecor.cafepress.com/rocky-horror_pillows
You could put one on the black couch with the pink fuzzy pillow, and one on the chair. The black on the edge will incorporate the black couch, most of them have pink to match the chair, and there you have your rocky horror accent (the denton is for lovers pillow has a heart on it, there ya go!). Tie it in with a funky animal print rug in non conventional colors, I wouldn’t go with pink though, or it will look too matchy matchy with the pink chair, maybe just a standard white & black zebra print.
I’m not sure what you had in mind for your vintage montage, but you could get some old vintage frames, paint them funky colors if you want (or not) and frame pics of your favs, Tim Curry, Bettie Page, etc.
I also came across this lamp, which would look funky with your chair…
http://lampstore-com.amazonwebstore.com/Vintage-Accent-Table-Lamp/M/B001KXMD1A.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=froogle
I think a 50s mod coffee table would look good, or a table with a piece of glass over it, you could find old pics of Bettie Paige, tear the edges to look like you tore them out of a magazine, and place them under the glass. This might be the complete opposite of what you are looking for, but what a fun idea. I absolutely love the pink chair! And having a pink chair with candy apple walls is very brave, but if you pull it off, how rewarding! With your black couch, you might want to see if you can find one that folds down, they make really cute non-futon looking ones now, sleeping in odd places does take a toll eventually. Have fun with this!
