Interesting Facts About Teddy

Before stuffed animals never arrived, most children's toys were manufactured from hard materials such as wood or tin. Dolls were popular, but the head of their paper mache or porcelain and agencies, stuffed horsehair, are not reassuring hugs. If it had not been a strip of felt balls of elephants that were given to women as gifts in 1877, who knows when the stuffed animals have been invented.

These balls feel, were created by none other than Margarate Steiff, the creator of the teddy bear first. After she gave him the balls, the children of women, they were delivered to the loved so much, they claimed for themselves, qualities like size and tactile. Margarete began to receive numerous requests for elephants smaller than 29 December 1880, she decided to start selling them. The first batch produced and sold quickly shortly after, stuffed animals including dogs, camels, lions, monkeys, and donkeys, formed the majority of which was his original store where felt felt skirts and children clothes were facts.

In 1889, German company based Margarete moved to Muehlstrasse, the larger premises. There, in 1892, The company produced its first catalog, which showed a glimpse of the full range of products offered. In the same year, the company applied for a patent "For the achievement of animals and other figures to serve as toys." The patent was designed to avoid the trouble of imitations in the future, but, ironically, the sentence ended up spending.

In the same year that the catalog was produced and the patent obtained, the bear Steiff has been launched. He was one of the many animals that have been available in a set. The character was so popular Wee Bear, it was soon Given the position shown in the ensemble. This was the beginning of the journey that would lead Steiff bears developed and established as the most popular Plush in the world.
Margarete his six brothers and son, have all played a vital role in the further development of society. Four years after the company had been recorded, it was so well financially, that Margaret decided to have its own booth at the Leipzig Toy Fair. The chosen to represent the family was his nephew, Richard second son of his brother. At the time, he had just graduated from school art and later became the most influential person (after his aunt) when it comes to the history of the teddy.

Richard Steiff was responsible for designing and developing new toy lines to the company Margarete. From the beginning, he was fascinated by the possibility of having a teddy bear and spent many hours trying to conceive a child who would be attracted. He then made numerous sketches door, he saw at the zoo in Stuttgart, circuses and animal shows. It is here that what we now know that the best stuffed plush ever – the teddy bear – is finally come to life.
