When and if you have a same sex marriage …?
… At what point do you think you are going through? If you had one, how did you spend? I ask because we have seen so Bridezilla right, and this article reminded me of that. My http://www.salon.com/mwt/feature/2007/05/21/mead_weddings/print.html wife and I spent about $ 12,500, and that is because I sold my truck (nothing but a PITA in New York) and because that his uncle gave us $ 10K for the wedding as a gift. Most of that would fly and the development outside the family to the state and friends. My brother DJ'd, and my wife sewed the two dresses. How about you? How are you, or you have done, spend? Do you want your wedding to be as developed as a whole mix, or do you want it simple, or do you just pay $ 50 at the courthouse, or anything else? I'm really looking forward responses and stories! 
My partner and I were together for over six years, and now that the unions of same sex is legal in our home country – South Africa, we expect a union in January next year. This will be a small intimate affair with only family and close friends, and is being held in a garden friends outside of the city. The total to date is around R15, 000 – it is a just over U.S. $ 2,500 – not really expencive. We felt it was not nessesary to go OTT on "our" big day, and we intend to enjoy a very long, very expencive honeymoon! My parents will host the ceremony and also to pay for the whole thing! Sooooooo released!
