Blanch the beans in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 1 1 / 2 minutes. Drain immediately and plunge into a bowl of ice water. This is my first official experience in my quest to create affordable, simple recipes for those who are new to cooking Chinese food, and it was made because I had a piece of beef thawed Round Top to be cooked.
