Bears Wildlife
Where is the best place in Vermont to go on vacation?

My family & Friends want to vaca up in Vermont but we have never been there before. We would like a log cabin set up on/near a lake, places to see moose, bears, & wildlife. ATV trails, hiking, site seeing. From ages 3-50 years old.

Hello ~ The whole state is beautiful. The most rural part of the state is probably the Northeast Kingdom (the northeastern corner of the state); Lake Willoughby, Island Pond, Joe’s Pond, etc. There is an award-winning mountain bike series of trails called Kingdom Trails. If you are serious about wanting to see moose, go to Canaan but be careful: At dusk and dawn they are likely to meander right in front of your car and you really have to be careful. East Burke is a very cool little village: Kingdom Trails, River Garden Cafe, Bailey’s Country Store, Wildflower Inn, Burke Mountain ski area, etc. Great lodge available for rent to groups has high ceilings, deck, privacy, woodstove, algonquinlodge@yahoo.com. Have a wonderful time in Vermont.
