Bear in the world
Most chidren like bear toys. And Teddy Bear is no longer a new concept for them. Teddy quickly became People around the world especially in the U.S. where the name Teddy origin. In particular, France, Japan and Australia has begun and will continue to making bears.
Ideal was the first company to make teddy bears for United States United States. Its founder, Morris Michtom, said taking its inspiration from the Clifford Berryman cartoon of Theodore Roosevelt's failing to shoot a bear cub, making his first bear. Ideal bears are characterized by their triangular shaped heads, and they produced the same style of bear for several decades.
Other well known companies include known American Knickerbocker, Applause, Gund and North American Bear Co, famous for its bears the unusual nature of famous people. The younger companies teddy bears in the United States, such as Dakin, Eden and Russ Berrie any manufacture their bears in the Far East.
French bears can be identified by their short hair mohair, their simple articulation and color coatings ear. Although they are relatively easy to identify, it is often difficult to tell which company made them. Two of the best known are M Pintel Fils and Fadap, two of them had stopped production in the 1970s. Other European societies, as in Austria Berg have more success and still do today bears.
Australia is well known for producing plush versions of the koala. However, companies such as Toys are also noted the joy of making the bears more traditional. A feature common to bears Australia is without a neck joint. In Japan, the manufacture teddy bear has tended to focus on novelty and mechanical bears, particularly in 1950 and 1960.
Bears Colombia
In the early days, British manufacturers copied the look of the bear in German. Over the years, however, they have gradually changed, as designers began to experiment with different shapes and materials.
First British Bear was made by JK Farnell in 1906. Other early bears were made by WJ Terry, Dean Rag Book Co Ltd, Chad Valley and Chiltern. While Columbia is first copied the German look, later they began to change – their bodies have become larger, the flat face and arms and legs shorter. British officials have also experimented with different materials.
Artificial silk plush was first used in 1920s and sheepskin was popular for some time in the 1950s. Bears made by different companies have developed their own characteristics. Chad Valley bears are instantly recognizable by their bulbous nose, which are often compared to lumps of coal. Early Farnell bears webbed claw stitching, and Chiltern noses of the 1920s and 1930s have two long stitches going up at each end.
Bear production expanded after World War II, and the existing market has been joined by companies such as Plummer Wandless who specializes in sheepskin bears and Wendy Boston which became famous for the production of the first door plush machine washable. Despite the success of British bears, many first companies do not survive long – a few steps, and some have been taken over by larger companies. WJ Terry was out of the company at the end 1930s, and Chiltern was taken over by Chad Valley, which in turn was taken over by Palitoy. Today, only two names plush major is yet to be bears – Merrythought, founded in 1930 and dean. Even if they still make traditional bears, these companies also produce many collectibles which are usually either copies of old bears or specially designed commemorative or souvenir bears.
German Bears
Gebruder Bing had been making toys since the 1890s. He made his first teddy bear in 1907. The company has been famous for his mechanical toys and soon introduced these elements into its bears. Although Bing made very high quality bears the company did not survive very long and went into receivership in 1932.
This bear, known as Ted, is golden mohair plush with wood wool which is composed of fine wood shavings. The original eyes have been removed and brown wool stitching put in their place. It is a well-traveled bear. Having been made in Germany, he spent most of his life in Africa. He belonged to Patricia Brooks, who was born in Devon in 1911, but has lived most of his life in Zimbabwe. She received the bear when she was three years. She connects the time it was delivered to the departure of Arthur "Bomber Harris" to join the RAF, just before the First World War. Harris was the manager of the farm in Zimbabwe owned by Patricia's first husband's family. The bear lived with Patricia in Zimbabwe and Zambia and also spent some time in the United States. Patricia heard of the V & A Museum of Childhood on a broadcast of the BBC World Service radio and donated her bear in 1998.

Russ Berrie Bears from the past (I do not find a teddy bear I had as a child)?
I looked for years for a teddy bear and a raccoon and dog. I'm mainly looking for the bear, I think it is a Russ Berrie Bear. Maybe one of (the past) there is a link leaves the viewer almost the same. The one I'm looking for a blanket over his feet and I think that tape abound his neck the same, He said the old plush on one foot, I think his left foot had the bear in the 80s and thinks he may have been so new. my mother sold all 3 of these for a quarter each at a garage sale when I was a kid and I loved them and wanted to do for my girl shes coming 2 and I think she does love them. If you need more info there to do my best http://www.tableandhome.com/prodijhdd
