Miniature pet bear – possibility?
So, this is going to sound completely stupid. Being of the “pokemon generation” (early ’90s) I have always wanted some sort of weird and small animal for a pet. And I was thinking…
If only we could genetically engineer bears to never grow more then 20 pounds! Or selective breeding but the other way is cooler. It would be so awesome, just sit there infront of the computer and think about it.
I know someone is going to read this and turn it into a business one day and make millions off of mini bears.
So this is my question (its probably already possible)… has this been done before? Please, what are your thoughts on this?

I always thought it would be cool to have an elephant that would be small enough to fit into your shirt pocket. Then when you were in a restaurant with some friends and you spill your coke on the table, you casually extract the elephant from your pocket and place it on the table.
The elephant will earnestly begin to suck the spilled coke up with his trunk and your friends will clasp their hands in amazement and their eyes will bulge with wonder.
You put the elephant back in your pocket and begin to fight off the adoring advances of your now-infatuated friends
