How to build a picnic pavilion?
Anyone know how to build a small picnic pavilion or where I can get some ideas or blueprints?
I am currently in the States and am trying to build this with some of my family.
Gazebo’s are to much hassel to make with the roof being akward in shape and such.
Not knowing if such items are available in the UK, here in Home improvement stores, and/or major garden centers, Portable/collapsible structures, like a gazebo, could certainly qualify as a picnic pavillion, epsecially since you state “small”
What I’m talking about is manufactured from very simple to very elabortae and decorative, and obviously range in price. Often steel or aluminum framed, with Duck Cloth/ Canvas/ etc. as the covering, much like a tent, but with the ability to open or close any of the 4 sides, some sold with screening, door flaps. etc.. Easy to put together, and dismantle should you want to move it out of the elements.
That would be my choice as opposed to building.
To construct something, you might need “planning permission”? and/or certainly some security in the construction perhaps with heavy support beams and decent stabilty over all to support a roof.
