Old Blue, Willie, and herd Rotten
Old Blue was the nephew of the Great-grandmother. His real name was Bluford Howard. Really … his name was Bluford. And everybody in town knew him as Old Blue.
Old Blue was 6'5 "and was a great man so great that his eight children could integrate into his denim blue overalls at the same time. He had a little bit of a woman named Willie, who is as small as Blue was great. How Willie may have had eight of his children, I will never know.
Now Old Blue is what you call a sponger. He and his family belong to the Church the First-Born, but Blue does not go to church for reasons that most people do. Most of the city looked to the church as kind of a car repair shop for the soul. The place of spiritual oil change, or if the previous night Friday or Saturday was a bit of the hand, instead of receiving a significant development. Church was a place to redress wrongs and, well, feel good yourself again.
Blue not so old.
No, Old Blue went to church for free food and clothing. Although the church for the rest of us has the repair shop for the soul and all the things of God, for the blue it was groceries and dry goods. You see, Blue never worked a day in his life.
Blue travel from house to house the people of the congregation and would be the chance to attend At dinner with his wife, eight children, and even his dog. Blue's descendants have each been appointed for certain types of flowers or plants. That's all Willie did.
There were five girls: Daisy, Dahlia, Violet, Fern, and Magnolia. Daisy and Dahlia were twins, always says the same things at the same time as the twins tend to do, and still chasing boys Gonzales. When Daisy and Dahlia would catch the boys girls just give each Indian Burns and let them kiss. Each Gonzales would somehow manage an escape, and the Blue girls yelling, "Daddy! Can you catch the boys and keep'em yet for us? "Blue would always Holler Back," Catch your own men mad. "
Old Blue and Willie also had three boys and blue was responsible for naming Colt, Moe, and weeds. Everyone and I mean everyone is staying away those rotten boys. They were instructed to dip the braids in inkwells girls (yes, children effectively means that at some point) to school, and slide the cheese is rotten in the office of the Minister. Ornery cuss little, they were.
Colt has always been the leader and made the life hard for all those around. The only time that Colt was half decent in the presence of Daisy and Dahlia. They made sure Colt knew who was boss it was not him. These three boys have runny nose they suffered with their sleeves, and each wore a dirty brown mop of hair in disorder. All except Moe, who was the brightest bulb of the trio. Moe had red hair tangled as stuck up, never sure if it was hereditary, or Simply complete the day's milk. He had a lazy eye that made him look as if he was looking for you on the side of his head. And he knew how to pick locks.
One day, the Minister locked the keys in his car and asked if Moe could open. Moe had the door open in three seconds flat, and he did it with a pen writing. The minister is not sure to be proud of Moe or preparing a prison ministry for him one day because, after all, it is not enough to choose a lock.
Willie could not keep control of her boys. During a Mass, Moe and Colt threw in a song of goat "Enter the sheaves." These boys also get rotten in the baptismal font and swim, and at least once a week rush in the aisles naked as Jay Bird.
At first, people thought of the Church to help Blue, Willie and the Gang was the thing to do charity, but there was a point they just could not break these boys any longer. In short, they were about to lose their religion. But this was not the minister who has finished the run out of town. It was Grandma Great.
Great Grandmother was embarrassed boy from his sister and her family, so she did not mention that he was bound. Aunt Tylene and my mother had a system. If one of them knew Blue and his family was heading their way, they pack up the kids and leave the house for the afternoon. They hide in the house because few Moe could always seek the lock front door. One time, my aunt tried Tylene hiding.
When Blue came to the door, she hid in her room, vainly trying not to make noise. She heard a noise outside, then later in the learning of Bluford that the dog had gone straight to the kitchen and had swallowed the hot apple pie on the counter. All children from Blue's sitting on the sofa waiting to be fed and Aunt Tylene hiding in her room all afternoon until she could no longer bear. She left her room to hear Daisy mocking words: "We were just waiting for you your outa there. Whatchoo had your food? "
Great Grandmother was species and the woman tolerable. It would be the first to get up in the morning and make breakfast for our family and all the farmhands. She liked the kitchen. Grandma got along with everybody, that is to say, except blue. She felt Blue was a pathetic lazy man who does not take care of his family, but nobody ever told him. She knew it would be time very soon, and that they would have a callin.
Came the day: She was sitting on her porch, calmly rocking in his favorite chair when she heard the familiar blue powder-rust, smoking, pickup coming up the road earth. There were eight children in the back of the truck, and she could not say where each child has started and finished each child. They fought and ON the completion and has determined that the cloud of dust that seemed to follow the bed of the pick was made increasing the proportion of children. She immediately considered its own carpet of flowers she had been cleaning the large-scale attacks of sixteen small dirty feet. She asked for patience from above.
As the truck approached, she noticed Blue was conducted on each working hard, and it was a miracle that none of these children fell. Maybe that's what he wanted, but she did not have to worry about that now. She could not even see Millie on the front seat, just a pair of small bony hands grasping what remained of the dashboard of the cost of living.
They arrived at the Great-grandmother. "Hey Aunt ET! We're here!" The children have fallen from the truck bed and began walking up the walk Houses to Grandma's best and garden-like sanctuary.
"Stop there!" she screamed. The children paid no mind. Moe has been struck Cons weeds upside the head, while the weeds, he underwent flying sister Magnolia. They were all arms and legs.
I say, stop there! "And she grabbed Moe and weeds by the ears." Owwwwwwwww! "They shouted.
"And Leaving my precious boys Go! "Blue roared.
"You take your brats, and your dirty little person, and you go find the right ways. I am not feeding and cleaning up after you. Now, go! "She made the truck." And take with you! "
"Aw, And c'mon. I am family. "
"I did not pick you!" Grandma yelled. By now the neighbors gathered. "And if I did, I would have given you rotten tomatoes! "
Blue was injured. Or maybe it was a combination of research indignant or be taken.
"Come, Willie," he said, with as much pride as he was, "we do not support this. My aunt is a miniature portable Toddler hoidy! "The kids were grinning from ear to ear. They liked to hear any kind of fightin.
"You know what, Aunt And? I go to church and tellin 'them all over you." Blue herded children toward the truck.
Grandma has rebounded as a Blue's checks: "You're a no good, nothing, lazy, lazy pants, nuns, you know, Bluford Howard? " And you're a Democrat, to boot! You do not belong to the church. You belong to purgatory. Puuurrrgggaaatttooorrryyy!, Has she hissed. "Nobody wants you or your little rat to church!"
At this time Great-grandfather was behind it. He had never heard anything like that on from the mouth of ET, but he smiled. He knew it had reached its limits. He had only seen once before, the time Roosevelt was elected for a fourth term. Now, Platoon Bluford had all climbed into the van. Finally, almost all. It stands before the weeds got in. The last thing that Grandma Daisy was seen pulling a few weeds in the back of the trunk by his feet.
Bluford, Willie, and posterity has left the city shortly after the incident. The last person was heard at Stubby Parker, who owned the Sinclair filling station on the outskirts of the city said Blue and the Gang has ceased to use the toilet before take the land route. "Old Blue told me he was a thinkin 'lookin fight" until Latter-day Saints because they have lockers for better food. He said he thought of joinin 'and bein' cuz a Mormon Baptists expect you to bring Food for the potluck.
And with last known observation that reported, the powder blue '38 Chevy Pickup sprayed onto the main road and dipped below the horizon, towing all their belongings in a trailer made of an old, fridge freezer reversed.
