How has geography affect the defensive behaviour of Grizzly Bears and Black Bears?
Black bears and Grizzly bears have different defensive behaviour. How has their geography affected that?
I have checked the web and haven’t found anything. I’ve even tried Parks Canada.
Grizzly bears evolved in an area where there was a lack of trees and a fairly open area. As such when they are approached and put into a threatening situation they attack.
Black bears evolved in forests, as such they have more of a tendency to turn and run because there is more protection in the forest.
