What is the best way to clean/sanitize a ceramic mug that was used to hold coins?
I am NOT asking how to clean coins.
I have been using a ceramic mug to hold spare change for a few years and now would like to actually be able to use the mug for drinking. What would be the best way to clean/sanitize it? I just want to make sure there isn’t any residual metal, etc left so I don’t end up drinking it. Thanks!
Wash thoroughly with detergent. Rinse well and then do it all again. Then use a strong bleach mixture for about half a day, rinse well and use. Metal is heavy and will wash out with the rinsing if there is any residual.
