Is there any gizmo that contains moisture that lets you dip your fingers instead of licking it to turn page?

Yes there is. People who have to handle large amounts of paper often have one.

The ones I’ve seen are round shallow cups with a sponge permanently fixed over the top. You wet the sponge with water — the excess water goes into the shallow dish beneath, so that the sponge doesn’t dry out quickly.

To use it, you just stroke your finger over the surface of the wet spongy top.

I tried to Google one, but I didn’t get any hits.

You could make your own by just putting a kitchen sponge into a saucer with a little water in it, or even sticking a sponge part way in a small jar (like a baby food jar) if you want to prevent spills.

Using a sponge is better than just dipping your finger into water, because the sponge doesn’t get your fingers too wet.

EDIT: I did find some for sale — mostly from the UK. They are called “sponge dampers” — at least in Britain.
