Plant Presents from your own garden

If you are looking for ways for you or your children to provide this low price for the extended family, or just give gifts that have a personal element to them, so here's a suggestion or two for you.

If you want to do a gift for the gardener of the family or someone who has recently moved into their own home, someone in an apartment or unit, or a person that can not handle a full size court, or a family member who likes to cook with fresh ingredients, etc. So why not consider giving them something your own garden? Here I am talking about plants that you split off your own garden plants.

There are many plants growing in the garden that the average may be divided, or that have naturally self layered themselves. Where you can go along and take a section rooted, the pot with a little dressing container planting, you can produce a nice gift for someone you love.

These plants include many herbs and perennials or even some shrubs and trees that manage to send Self-layered branches or releases the root system. Some perennials and bulbs will increase their size or number of bulbs over time. Chance seedlings coming in the wrong place for you, can easily be used. All these will give you the opportunity cheaply create a wonderful gift for someone else.

First things first, you must obtain a number of pots Plastic or those left by additions to the public garden, or someone you know or you can go out and buy a pot plastic / ceramic / Clay, etc., to meet your needs. The first step is to divide the clump or cut the branch joining make the plant available separately. Then using a spade, fork or gardening trowel, dig as far from the potential plant as possible, because it will give you the root mass as possible.

Boil water, vinegar or right if there are no plants in the bed that you want to save, coverage entire area with a black plastic sheet when the soil begins to warm up in spring. Leave in place for a week or two.
