How do I find and delete archive files that are infected with a virus?

Bitdefender found a virus on my computer but can’t remove it because its part of an archive and must be deleted manually. I tried to search for the file but can’t find it. How do I get rid of it?

Malwarebytes Anti Malware http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html FREE EDITION (one of the free AV to Remove Antivirus 2009)

Also, turn off System Restore to evict any copies of bad stuff that might be lurking there.
May not be required (Depending on severity & if so DO NOT) Once removed do so!
